The RootsMagic Valentines Cruise will feature some of the best known speakers in the genealogy community. All classes will be held during the "days at sea", leaving your port days and evenings free to enjoy the cruise. Each speaker will be teaching several classes on a variety of subjects. Plus you have the opportunity to have a one-on-one session with one of the presenters to get help with one of your brick-walls.
Bruce is the founder and president of RootsMagic, Inc. and the author of RootsMagic. He has been writing genealogy software for over 20 years, having originally written the popular Family Origins software. Bruce is a frequent lecturer at national and regional genealogy conferences, and teaches numerous workshops on how to more effectively use RootsMagic software. He is also the author of the book Getting the Most Out of RootsMagic. He is also the webmaster of Family-Reunion.com, the world's most popular family reunion planning site.
George G. Morgan is the president of Aha! Seminars, Inc., a Florida-based company working with library cooperatives and consortia providing continuing education to libraries and their employees, and genealogy consulting services. He is an internationally recognized genealogy expert who presents at local, state, national, and international genealogical conferences. George is the prolific author of hundreds of articles for magazines, journals, and newsletters in many genealogical publications in the U.S., Canada, the U.K, Singapore, and elsewhere. His articles appear in the Plus Edition of Eastman’s Online Genealogical Newsletter each week and in other sites.
He has written eight books, the newest of which is the second edition of The Official Guide to Ancestry.com. The second edition of How to Do Everything with Your Genealogy, published by McGraw-Hill and critically acclaimed by genealogists, societies, and libraries alike, was released in April 2009. He is writing a chapter in the forthcoming second edition of Professional Genealogy, which will be published at the end of 2009. George and Drew Smith produce “The Genealogy Guys Podcast” each week on the Internet at genealogyguys.com, the longest running, regularly scheduled genealogical podcast with thousands of subscribers around the world.
Drew Smith, MLS, is an academic librarian at the University of South Florida Tampa Library, is a Director of the Federation of Genealogical Societies, and is in his third year as President of the Florida Genealogical Society of Tampa. A regular contributor to Digital Genealogist magazine, he is co-host with George G. Morgan of the weekly Genealogy Guys Podcast. His first genealogy book, Social Networking for Genealogists, was recently published by Genealogical Publishing Company.
Diana has been researching since childhood and has been lay librarian at the local Family History Center for more than fifteen years. She has written for numerous genealogical publications, including Heritage Quest, Genealogical Computing, and currently writes a beginners column for the NGS (National Genealogical Society) NewsMagazine and a column on writing for the Association of Professional Genealogists Quarterly, and is a frequent contributor to Digital Genealogist. She is Region 4 Director of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and serves as Chapter Representative and Webmaster for the Great Lakes Chapter of APG. She has been a speaker at local, regional and national conferences on topics ranging from basics for beginners to specialized research methodology such as Scandinavian (especially Danish) research, problem-solving techniques, and professional development.
Gary is National Conference Coordinator of the Genealogical Speakers Guild, Central Region Director / Webmaster International Society of Family History Writers and Editors (ISFHWE); columnist, National Genealogical Society News Magazine; lay librarian, Family History Center. He currently writes a column for beginners in NGS News Magazine and is a frequent contributor to Digital Genealogist. He is a frequent speaker at numerous meetings and conferences.

Reservations require a deposit of $500 per person within 7 days of booking. A second payment of $500 per person will be due by August 15, 2009, with the balance due by November 1, 2009. All cancellations must be in writing, and no refunds will be made after November 1, 2009 without travel insurance (available when you make your reservation).
